Impact factor of international scientific journal Applied & Computational Mathematics increased
The impact factor of the international scientific journal Applied & Computational Mathematics, jointly founded by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (ANAS) and Research Institute of Applied Mathematics at Baku State University rose from 3.898 to 4.771. The five-year impact factor rose from 2.752 to 3.172.
The journal ranked 4th among 267 editions worldwide on the list of Web of Science Core Collection in the Applied Mathematics category and 3rd in the European Union. In the CIS, it has maintained its leadership in previous years as well.
The editorial staff of the journal includes 38 prominent scientists from 20 countries of the world. To date, 54 issues of the journal have been published, on the pages of which more than 520 articles by authors from over 60 countries of the world have been published.
It should be noted that in 2008, the journal was included in the list of Science Citation Index Expanded by Thomson Reuters (now Clarivate Analytics). According to the agency’s annual report (Journal Citation Reports 2009), in 2010, for the first time in the history of Azerbaijani science, the journal was assigned an impact factor of 0.633.
The scientific publication, which publishes articles in various fields of applied mathematics, currently has over 500 well-known reviewers.
It should be reminded that the editor emeritus of the journal is Tamer Bashar, professor at the University of Illinois (USA), chief editors – Director of the Scientific Research Institute of Applied Mathematics of Baku State University, member of the Presidium of ANAS, Academician Fikret Aliyev, Director General of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS, Academician Ali Abbasov, deputy chief editors are corresponding member of ANAS Vagif Guliyev, professor at Eastern Mediterranean University Nazim Mahmudov, Scientific Secretary at the Research Institute of Applied Mathematics of Baku State University, Associate Professor Nargiz Safarova, and Leading Researcher Nazila Hajiyeva.
