About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Groundbreaking ceremony held for road bridge over river Astarachay

A groundbreaking ceremony took place today for the road bridge, which will be built over the river Astarachay.

Delegations headed by Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev and Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran Rostam Ghasemi attended the event.

The Astara (Iran) Loading and Unloading Terminal was then inspected, and an agreement was reached to intensify efforts and measures to address the problems associated with the completion of the project.
