First regular intercity bus routes towards Shusha and Aghdam launched
The first regular bus routes to the liberated cities of Shusha and Aghdam were launched today. Citizens who have longed for their homeland for many years have now gone to visit the lands where our tricolor flag is flying. The years of longing for the homeland have come to an end. The buses departed from the Baku International Bus Terminal at 6:30 am.
Ticket sales were carried out online at www.yolumuzqarabaga.az , developed in integration with the relevant route program of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
Passengers bought round-trip tickets in advance – by pre-order at the same time.
Those traveling to Shusha and Aghdam are accompanied on buses by a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as volunteers of the Regional Development Public Association and ASAN.
Drivers carrying passengers on the new routes were involved in ANAMA mine safety trainings and they were provided with basic safety manuals. Volunteers also took part in the awareness training online.
Mine safety videos are shown on buses to inform and instruct passengers. Each seat has also a brochure with instructions on mine safety. The buses are equipped with first-aid kits.
It should be noted that large-scale work is underway to restore the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from Armenian occupation, ensure sustainable development, build the most modern infrastructure and create decent living conditions. All necessary measures are being taken to ensure sustainable settlement in those cities and villages.
