About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

First mobile communication in Karabakh!

We would like to announce with great joy that Azercell Telecom LLC has started to deploy the first mobile communications infrastructure and install 4G LTE base radio stations in the territories liberated from the occupation.

Azercell is confident that thanks to the decisive leadership of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the triumphant march of our heroic army will end with a magnificent victory. Therefore, Azercell has already begun work on covering all the liberated historical territories of the country with a modern mobile network and is also preparing to provide the residents, who will soon return to their own homes, with uninterrupted communications and innovative services.
