First event of InnoWeek – Innovation Week held

InnoWeek – Innovation Week 2020 started with an event dedicated to the project “I2B – From Idea to Business”.
During the online event, detailed information was provided about the project, which has been implemented since 2018. The participants discussed the successes achieved in the formation of a startup ecosystem in our country over the past period. It was underlined that by organizing this unique platform, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies has expanded the startup movement in the country, including in the regions, and made it easier for young people to advance their ideas.
It was also stated that in connection with the postponement of the project I2B – From Idea to Business in 2020 due to the existing social isolation measures during the COVID-19 pandemic, a mobile application I2B – From Idea to Business has been developed to establish communication with young people in the regions, sustainability and attract a wider audience interested in the project. The mobile application allows participants to continue working on the project online and ensures ease of communication, work process of teams, communication with mentors and many other functions.
The creation of I2B – From Idea to Business Public Association was announced at the event. Thus, the project program i2B Ambassadors for the regions will be launched.
It is worth noting that next year YouTube channel of the project will be launched, which will be useful for young people.
During the event, members of some teams participating in this project also shared their views. The graduates of the project said that participation in the startup movement “I2B – From Idea to Business” is very effective for them and opens great prospects.
The second part of the event will take place on December 15 at 18:00.
It should be reminded that the I2B – From Idea to Business project is implemented jointly by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s Regional Development Public Union, Azerbaijan Youth Foundation, United Nations Development Programme, Innovation Agency, Azercell Telecom LLC and Microsoft.
