Event held on occasion of International Girls in ICT Day

An event took place on the occasion of 28 April – International Girls in ICT Day, organized by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport with the support of the Public Union “Zafar”: Support for Martyrs’ Families.

The purpose of the event was to attract girls in the ICT sector and encourage them to choose a career in this field. 

At the event, organized with the participation of martyr children in the Azercosmos Satellite Ground Control Center, detailed information was provided on the history, purpose of the International Girls in ICT Day and its role in today’s world.

An interactive two-part awareness session was held for the girls. The participants took part in discussions on space, astrophysics, satellites, first computers and STEM. They were also provided information about successful women in technology.

In conclusion, participants’ questions were answered and gifts were presented.
