Event held at Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies in connection with May 28 – Republic Day

The primary territorial party organization of the New Azerbaijan Party of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies held a video conference in connection with May 28 – Republic Day.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Elmir Velizade spoke in detail about the historical moments of the declaration of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and the significance of this event. It was noted that over the 23 months of the republic’s existence, along with various spheres of the country’s life, serious attention was given to the field of transport, roads and communications. Within the five governments operating during this period of time, there were relevant ministries, and appropriate decisions were adopted in connection with the development of the communications field. This factor is a vivid example of how important these areas were in protecting the country’s independence.

Then the ministry’s Deputy Chief of Staff Asif Ismayilov expressed his congratulations on the occasion of the significant holiday and spoke about the importance of state independence. He stressed that today our daily work and activities should be our contribution to the development of independent Azerbaijan.

The head of Department for Regulation of Communications Alyar Tamirov also addressed the event. He noted that this significant event will forever remain in the memory of our people.

In conclusion, Deputy Minister Elmir Velizade said that National Leader Heydar Aliyev played a crucial role in the restoration and strengthening of our independent statehood. And today, the wisdom, foresight of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and the policy pursued by him contributed to the further strengthening of our independent state, the liberation of our lands from occupation and the great return process to the liberated lands. The services of First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva in the work carried out in this direction are undeniable.

Noting that this year marks the 140th anniversary of the establishment of telephone communication in Azerbaijan, the Deputy Minister said that now the most important task facing the communications workers is to more responsibly and carefully assist the activities of the President in returning to the lands liberated from occupation.
