About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Evacuation of Azerbaijani drivers in Ukraine continues

The evacuation of Azerbaijani drivers in Ukraine is currently underway.

Initially, six trucks concentrated in Odessa were transferred to Moldova. The vehicles have now reached the Romanian border and are awaiting documentation to cross the border into Romania.

The evacuation process is being carried out with the help of our diplomatic corps in Moldova.

It is expected that as a result of negotiations between the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the State Road Transport Service and the Azerbaijan International Road Carriers Association (ABADA) with relevant entities, the drivers that are in the territory of Odessa Port will today depart in the same direction.

Efforts are also underway to evacuate the drivers concentrated in Kyiv, Kharkov and other regions, and they are regularly contacted.
