About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

European Commission's Director-General for Mobility and Transport visits northern region of Azerbaijan

The delegation led by Director-General for Mobility and Transport of the European Commission (MOVE) Henrik Hololei, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, visited Khachmaz and Gusar regions.

The guests familiarized themselves with the tourist potential of the northern region during the visit, which was organized by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies. The delegation that visited the “Shahdagh” tourist center was informed in detail about the development of winter tourism in Azerbaijan.

The rich nature of Azerbaijan left a pleasant impression on the guests.
