About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Director of State Maritime Agency awarded “Shohret” Order

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order on awarding the “Shohret” (Glory) Order to Gudrat Gambar oglu Gurbanov on October 21, 2019.

According to the order, Gudrat Gambar oglu Gurbanov was awarded the “Shohret” Order for his long-term fruitful activity in the field of maritime transport in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Note that Gudrat Gurbanov is the director of the State Maritime Agency under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies.
