Deputy Minister Samir Mammadov meets with Korean delegation
Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samir Mammadov has met with a delegation led by deputy of the National Assembly of Korea, Chairman of the Korea–Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group Suh Byung-soo, who is on a visit to our country.
During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of digital transformation, cybersecurity, innovation and transport were discussed.
Deputy Minister Samir Mammadov informed the other side about the projects implemented in our country in the said fields, and noted that there are wide opportunities for cooperation with Korea in organizing trainings on information technology and cybersecurity.
It was noted that we highly appreciate the support for smart city projects jointly planned with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).
There was also a detailed exchange of views on the 3rd meeting of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Korea which will be held in Seoul in late May this year, as well as on a business forum and bilateral meetings planned to be held within the framework of the meeting with a number of Korean organizations and technology companies.
