Deputy Minister Rovshan Rustamov met with President of Turkish Energy, Nuclear and Mineral Research Agency

A meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan Rovshan Rustamov and President of the Turkish Energy, Nuclear and Mineral Research Agency (TENMAK) Abdulkadir Balykchy.

The sides exchanged views on conducting joint radiometric and radiological research in the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation and preparing a radiological map of the investigated territory.

It was noted that the preparation of the gamma background map and the detection of radioactive sources, pollution and waste, as well as radiological monitoring of the main sources of drinking and service water in the settlements to be built are priorities.

The meeting also discussed the issue of creating a regulatory framework in this area.
