Deputy Minister Rovshan Rustamov meets with Turkish Deputy Trade Minister Rıza Tuna Turagay
Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan Rovshan Rustamov has met with a delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Trade, Head of Customs Administration of the Republic of Turkiye Riza Tuna Turagay, who is on a visit to our country.
The issues of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of transport and ICT, including optimization of duties and taxes withheld on international road freight transport were discussed at the meeting.
Deputy Minister Rovshan Rustamov stressed that the Baku–Tbilisi–Kars railway line is an important part of the Middle Corridor and noted the importance of increasing the volume of freight traffic through this railway line.
It was also noted at the meeting that the Memorandum of Cooperation on the establishment of Technological Development Zone in Baku by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkiye, signed on May 27 this year, will give impetus to cooperation between the two countries in the field of technological development.
