Competition on “Environmental protection and renewable energy sources” launched within TECHNOFEST
Acceptance of applications for projects aimed at protecting the environment, promoting new technologies for renewable energy sources and zero waste within the framework of TECHNOFEST Aerospace and Technology Festival has started.
We would like to inform you that the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan is currently organizing several interesting competitions in preparation for the TECHNOFEST, which will be held in Baku for the first time on May 26 –29.
The main purpose of the festival is to popularize aviation, space industry, digital economy and environmental protection among young people, promote entrepreneurship in these areas, reveal the knowledge and skills of teenagers and young people through competitions organized within the framework of the festival, as well as present national technologies to the general public.
It should be noted that registration for the competition in the field of environmental protection has already begun.
The current competition calls for the submission of environmentally safe and cost-effective projects in the field of environmental balance, rational use of natural resources and renewable energy sources. Senior pupils, students and young entrepreneurs can participate in the competition organized within the framework of TECHNOFEST and present their new ideas and prototypes.
The competition covers topics related to the use of renewable energy sources, promotion of new technologies, improvement of current technologies, careful use of natural resources and technologies that will ensure their transmission to future generations, as well as facilitate the implementation of the zero waste goal.
It is possible to participate in the competition in three categories. The peculiarity of the competition is that high school students can submit their innovative initiatives and ideas in category A to a prestigious festival such as TECHNOFEST. Under the terms of the competition, high school teams must hire consultants as mentors and submit a project proposal together with their consultants. Category A teams must participate in the final with their consultants.
Category B university students studying in Azerbaijan can submit innovative solutions and projects on relevant topics to the competition.
Individual competitors or teams made up of them may join the competition in category C.
It should be noted that the prize fund for the competition for schoolchildren (category A) is 1st place – 4000 AZN, 2nd – place 2000 AZN and 3rd – place 1000 AZN.
The prize fund for students representing category B and startups and individual entrepreneurs in category C is 1st place – 6000 AZN, 2nd place – 4000 AZN, 3rd place – 2000 AZN.
