About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Commendable step from startup team

The startup team of Azerbaijan Medical University Palliative +, which took the 3rd place in the startup competition “From Idea to Business – I2B” of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies last year, provided support to the Armed Forces Assistance Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Palliativ + members, who always take care of people’s health, have donated 800 AZN (the rest of the money they won in the competition) to the Armed Forces Assistance Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan at a time when the Azerbaijani Army is writing a glorious history.

The startup team – project manager, student Ismayil Nazarli, resident doctor Maharram Alimli, and students – Etibar Abbasov, Gamar Mammadbeyli, Azad Karimli and Ulker Huseynova took this step on their own initiative.
