AzTU to cooperate with High-Tech Park

On June 7, Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and High-Tech Park (HTP LLC) of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies (MTCHT) signed a memorandum of cooperation.

 

Speaking at the signing ceremony in AzTU, acting rector of the university, Professor Khalig  Yahudov noted that the development of the technological sphere in Azerbaijan is one of the priorities. Stressing that the cooperation between AzTU and MTCHT will make a significant contribution to the development of the national human resources, adding that the parties that signed the memorandum will take joint strategic steps.

 

Head of the Department of Innovative Development of the Information Society and Electronic Governance of the MTCHT Rashad Azizov, in his speech touched upon the issue of integration of higher educational institutions and production areas. He noted that the necessary steps are being taken by MTCHT towards formation of an appropriate ecosystem.

 

In turn, Director of the High-Tech Park Tural Kerimli noted the importance of cooperation between universities and production fields for strengthening  the human resource capacity. According to him, HTP conducts systematic work in this direction.

 

It should be noted that the memorandum on cooperation, covering at the initial stage  a five-year period, reflected such issues as cooperation in scientific and technical innovation sphere, development and implementation of joint projects, exchange of scientific and technical information, motivation of young professionals in specialist training, training of young startuppers, training of specialists with modern thinking and the ability to master advanced technologies meeting the requirements of the world labor market.

 

According to the agreement, the High-Tech Park will be engaged in identifying technical skills, providing access programs to relevant markets, joint cooperation for educational activities, providing students with necessary resources of HTP in joint programs and other issues.

 

AzTU, in turn,  will help the participation of teachers, students and researchers in ongoing local and international events for the implementation of HTP goals and objectives, including scientific and education projects, conferences, workshops, roundtables and discussions, regular provision of HTP with training manuals (journals, textbooks, teaching aids etc.), creating conditions for local and foreign specialists to deliver lectures, conduct  trainings and meetings on different fields of science at the university.

 

Furthermore, according to the agreement, the university will also provide HTP with information on the results of students receiving education in the relevant specialties.

 

Following the signing ceremony, representatives of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies familiarized themselves with the university laboratories, patented inventions of the AzTU, as well as scientific research works of scientists of the university.
