About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

AzInTelecom provides technical support for creation of new mobile app Hydro Heroes

AzInTelecom LLC under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies regularly introduces innovations to increase the number and development of useful projects in the country.

This time, the company has provided technical support for the development of mobile application Hydro Heroes, created with a joint initiative of the UN Development Programme and Public Association IDEA. Hydro Heroes, which is to be created on Azcloud’s cloud infrastructure, will carry out a mission to eliminate an important environmental issue.

This mobile application allows citizens to report water leaks directly to the water supply company from their mobile phones, and also provides them with useful information on the economical use of water.

It should be noted that Azcloud provides its infrastructure for this project free of charge for a period of one year.
