AzInTelecom LLC’s availability zone commissioned in Yevlakh
Located in the city of Yevlakh, the availability zone of AzInTelecom LLC under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport has been commissioned and is starting commercial operations.
Availability zones are isolated infrastructures encompassing various data centers where cloud services are provided. Through this infrastructure, businesses can take advantage of services proximity to end-user, replication, latency or data protection in accordance with their interests. As the company’s Baku-based data center, the availability zone built in Yevlakh city by AzInTelecom LLC has Tier III certification, the International Standard for IT Service Management and Delivery ISO 20000, Business Continuity Management System Standard ISO 22301 and Information Security Management System Standard ISO 27001.
The entire critical infrastructure of the availability zone in Yevlakh, with a total built-up area of 1,400 square meters is built on the 1+1 principle. The container-type infrastructure is equipped with alternative energy supply, firefighting systems, physical protection, spare water and fuel tanks, and high-level protection systems that provide energy sources. The key advantage of designing a zone as a mobile type is its portability. This, in turn, allows the containers in which data is stored during emergencies to be transported to a safer place in a completely physically secure manner.
All services of the Baku Data Center will also be provided in the availability zone in Yevlakh and can be used as both main and backup data center, depending on the needs of the business.
The availability zone will act as a backup data center not only for existing customers, but also for customers who have not migrated their information systems to AZCLOUD.
It will provide cloud services, business solutions, centralized information systems and international voice traffic services. Customers will also be provided with DRaaS (protection of data migrated to the cloud in cases of emergency) to ensure the smooth operation of information systems in cases of emergency. In that way, the businesses will be more resilient to the effects of natural disasters and various man-made incidents and will be more sustainable. DRaaS users will be able to use their information infrastructure in two different geographical positions in the same mode in the status of active-passive or active-active. In addition, the solutions to be implemented through the DRaaS service will help businesses create value in line with current market conditions by reducing costs and using internal resources more efficiently.
Currently, the geographical redundancy of IMS-type station systems is also being implemented through the Yevlakh Availability Zone, which enables international telephone exchange between Azerbaijan and all countries of the world.
Supporting the availability zone with quality infrastructure and professional specialists will enable customers to further improve the use of information technologies and save significant financial costs.
It should be noted that AZCLOUD is the first and largest availability zone in the South Caucasus region, including Azerbaijan, having Tier III certificates, International Standard for IT Service Management and Delivery ISO 20000, Business Continuity Management System Standard ISO 22301 and Information Security Management System Standard ISO 27001.
