Azerpost LLC connected to new application of Universal Postal Union

Azerpost LLC under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport has connected to the new mobile application EAD (Electronic Advance Data) of the Universal Postal Union.
A sender who wishes to send a postal item to another country using the Express Mail Service (EMS) will have a number of advantages when using this service. Before going to the post office, the user wishing to send a postal item, adds the product information to the EAD mobile app and receives a special password. Then the user applies to the post office and sends the item within a short period of time by providing relevant password to the postal operator.
Pre-filling the customs declaration using a mobile application creates conditions for a more efficient implementation of the service.
The application is very easy to use. The user downloads the application through the Play Market or AppStore, depending on which system he uses. Then relevant information (in English letters) is entered into the blank fields shown.
Another advantage of the new application is that the user can see which goods are prohibited in the country destination and predefine the HS (Harmonized System) customs code of the goods being shipped. Thanks to this, there are no problems when passing through customs inspection, fast registration and prompt delivery of the item to the addressee.
Initially, this service is provided at the Central Post Office, Postal Delivery Center and EMS points in Ganja.
Today Azerpost LLC, as the only national postal operator of the Republic of Azerbaijan, provides services to both individuals and legal entities through about 1,500 post offices on weekdays, as well as Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. The mission of Azerpost LLC is to provide high quality postal and financial services to the population and clients.
