About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Azermarka LLC merges with Azerpost LLC

Azermarka LLC under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, which is not included in the structure of the ministry, will be merged with Azerpost LLC.

On this basis, Azerpost LLC will be reorganized under the Civil Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and other legal and regulatory acts.

From now on, Azermarka will operate as a structural division of Azerpost. All its rights and obligations will be performed by its legal successor Azerpost LLC.

The aim is to optimize the activities of agencies within and outside the ministry, increase efficiency and ensure the overall use of resources.

It should be noted that major activities of Azermarka is the issuance and circulation of State Postal Payment Stamps – postage stamps, stamped envelopes and postcards. The company also prepared blocks, small sheets, booklets, postage mark impressions and other products that are philatelists’ collection items, including postcards and various souvenirs.

From now on, the above-mentioned activities will be performed by a corresponding structural division to be established within Azerpost LLC.
