Azerbaijani delegation held a number of meetings organized by ITU

Within the framework of the Global Standards Symposium (GSS-24) and World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA-24) organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in New Delhi (India) on 14–24 October, the Azerbaijani delegation held a number of meetings.

Thus, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Shahin Babayev met with ITU Deputy Secretary-General Tomas Lamanauskas.

At the meeting,  discussions were held on the organization of the high-level event “Digital Action for a Green World” to be jointly organized by the International Telecommunication Union and the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 29) in Baku from 11–22 November this year and the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC) scheduled to be held in Baku next year.

During the event, bilateral meetings were also held with representatives of the relevant ministries of Japan and China to discuss the current situation and prospects for cooperation.
