Azerbaijan represented at Eastern Partnership E-Democracy Conference

The Eastern Partnership E-Democracy Conference was held in Ukraine. Azerbaijan at the event was represented by a delegation composed of representatives of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Partnership for Economic and Social Initiatives.
In the first panel of the event, entitled “Digital Transformation”, head of the Innovations and Digital Development Department of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Rashad Azizov spoke about the ongoing reforms in Azerbaijan in the field of digitalisation. He gave a presentation on the electronic services in the country, the Open Data portal, which provides the opportunity to use open source government data for free, and the G-cloud created for digital infrastructure in Azerbaijan.
In the second panel, entitled “Ethics of Democracy”, the representative of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan Gulsel Safarova provided information about ASAN service centers created to increase transparency in the provision of services to citizens in the country, as well as gave information about the countries where this model was applied and with which cooperation is maintained.
