About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Azerbaijan, Montenegro ink air transport agreement

An air transport agreement has been signed between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of Montenegro.

The agreement was signed by Rashad Nabiyev, Minister of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Ervin Ibrahimovic, Minister of Capital Investments and Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Montenegro.

The document aims to establish and implement air transport between the two countries.

The agreement will facilitate mutual trips of Azerbaijani and Montenegrin citizens and will have a positive impact on the development of tourism and cultural ties between the countries.
