Azerbaijan, Iran discuss cooperation in ICT field

Meeting of the ICT working group between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran ended.
Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elmir Velizade and Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran, President of the Communications Regulatory Authority Hossein Fallah Joshaghani led the two-day meeting in Baku on May 15.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the field of radio and TV broadcasting, radio frequency management, communication infrastructure, postal services, startups, satellite services and electronic security.
Following the discussions, a protocol was signed on the results of the issues discussed.
It is to be recalled that it was decided to establish an ICT working group between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran during the meeting of ministers of the two countries in Tehran in October 2016. The first meeting of the working group took place in Tehran in January 2017.
