Azerbaijan-Egypt Business Forum held
An Azerbaijan-Egypt Business Forum was held within the framework of the fifth meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Technical and Scientific Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Arab Republic of Egypt, organized by the Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO).
The Forum was attended by representatives of more than 50 companies from both countries, representing agriculture, food industry, medicine, construction, information technology, finance and other sectors.
Co-Chairman of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Technical and Scientific Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Arab Republic of Egypt from the Azerbaijani side, Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev stressed the importance of the business forum in enhancing ties between business circles and invited businessmen to active discussions.
The Co-Chairman of the Commission from the Egyptian side, Minister of International Cooperation of the Arab Republic of Egypt Rania Al-Mashat noted the ample opportunities for the development of economic cooperation between the countries and the importance of such events in expanding the Azerbaijan-Egypt trade and economic ties.
Head of AZPROMO Yusif Abdullayev informed about activities of the organization he represents, work carried out by AZPROMO on expansion of cooperation with foreign partners, attraction of investments in non-oil sector.
Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) under the Ministry of Economy Orkhan Mammadov emphasized that the Business Forum is a favorable platform to promote cooperation between business people, the readiness of the Agency to support joint initiatives of business representatives, and spoke about the activities of KOBİA, support for business people and the services provided.
Chairman of the Board of the Alat Free Economic Zone Valeh Alasgarov informed about the work done in the economic zone and the logistic possibilities.
The Forum featured presentations on the investment climate created in Azerbaijan and Egypt.
The Business Forum continued with bilateral meetings to expand relations between business people and discuss new areas of cooperation.
