Azerbaijan, China creating working group on transport

An expanded meeting was held with the Chinese delegation arrived in our country with the aim of creating a working group on transport between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People’s Republic of China.

 

At the meeting, the Azerbaijani delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Elmir Velizade, the Chinese delegation – Director General of the Department of Transport Services of the Ministry of Transport of the People’s Republic of China Hu Yahuan.

 

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of promoting the opportunities of the Central Corridor for cargo transportation from China to Europe and vice versa, the allocation of subsidies by the Chinese provinces for container transport through the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, expanding the capacity of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway and the Baku International Sea Trade Port.

 

At the same time, there was an exchange of views on the continuation of negotiations on draft agreements between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on international road transport and combined transport, which are currently under consideration, and other relevant issues.
