Azerbaijan achieves highest results in civil aviation in Europe and CIS

Azerbaijan has achieved the highest results in Europe and the CIS in ensuring compliance with the international standards in the field of civil aviation.

On July 2-11, 2018, the final results of an audit, conducted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) at the State Civil Aviation Agency under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan were announced.

According to these results, over the past two years Azerbaijan has achieved 23.3% growth in compliance with the international standards in the field of civil aviation.

Speaking at the meeting organized by the ICAO’s European and North Atlantic Regional Office in Paris on December 4-5, 2018, Regional Director of the ICAO European and North Atlantic Office Mr. Luis Fonseca De Almeida congratulated the delegation of the State Civil Aviation Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan on good progress – the highest results achieved in 2018 in the region.

Expressing his gratitude to Luis Fonseca De Almeida for congratulations, head of the Azerbaijani delegation Arif Mammadov said that close cooperation with ICAO would be further continued to achieve greater progress in ensuring aviation security in our country.
