Assistance provided to 180 lonely elderly people

In connection with the quarantine regime and at the call of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerpost LLC of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, volunteers of Nizami district organization of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) together with social workers of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population have provided assistance to lonely elderly people.

Within the framework of the campaign, which has been lasted for several days, this time assistance was provided to 180 elderly people living alone in Nizami district. In total, it is planned to send aid to some 320 residents of the district.

It should be noted that in connection with the announcement of a special quarantine regime in the country from March 24 to April 20 and the prohibition of persons over 65 years old from leaving their homes by the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers, activists and volunteers of the New Azerbaijan Party have been providing assistance to such lonely elderly people.
