Another three successful startup ideas won a competition held within the project 'From Idea to Business'

A part of events dedicated to the International Day for Protection of Children, the High-Tech Park of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies organized an informative training and startup competition for the students of Baku European Lyceum within the framework of the project “From Idea to Business”.   


 
About 50 students of different grades from the above-mentioned lyceum took part in the training.


 
During the training, which took place at the Incubation Center of the High-Tech Park, the students first familiarized themselves with the business environment created at the Tech-Park. Director of the High-Tech Park, Tural Kerimli, informed them in detail about the activities of the Incubation Center, implemented projects and the successful startupers, who are residents of the Tech-Park.


 
Then, the students received detailed information about the project “From Idea to Business”. It was noted that secondary school students can also participate in trainings and competitions that are held in different general educational institutions within the project.


 
The training participants learned how to form a startup team, properly prepare a project presentation, sell a project to investors, research the market, etc.


 
After the interactive part of the event, a competition was held among the students. 6 teams were formed around the students’ ideas. The jury evaluated the projects presented by the teams and gave their opinions and recommendations.        

 
Then, the winners of the 1st, 2nd and the 3rd places were announced. Thus, the team “Multi Lang” won the 1st place. The second place was given to the team “Translator”. And the team “Ekolocation” took the 3rd place. 
 
At the end of the event, the winners were awarded.
 
Note that the project “From Idea to Business” is being implemented by the High-Tech Park, the State Fund for Development of Information Technologies and the company "Microsoft" with the support of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies and the Regional Development Public Union of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.  
The Public Association of Youth Movement “Javan” and the company “Azercell” are partners of the project.
