An online B2B Transport Forum held

The Caspian European Club has organized an online B2B Transport Forum.

 

The Forum, took place under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Elmir Velizade, was attended by representatives of government agencies and commercial companies representing the country’s transport sector.

 

The forum discussed the problems of companies affected by the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Information was also provided on government support measures to minimize the negative impact of the pandemic on the transport sector.

 

In his speech, Deputy Minister Elmir Velizade said that the country’s leadership has set a task of turning Azerbaijan into a regional transport hub.

 

Speaking about the transit potential and infrastructure of our country, the Deputy Minister noted that the existing infrastructure allows local and foreign transport and logistics companies to carry out cargo transportation in all directions.

 

After the reports by Head of the Transport Policy Department of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Azer Aliyev, Deputy Head of the State Road Transport Service under the Ministry Ibrahim Aliyev, Deputy Director General of Baku International Sea Trade Port CJSC Akbar Karimov,  Head of the Transit Department of Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee Farid Valiyev, Deputy Head of the Department for  Road Taxes of the State Customs Committee Sultan Huseynov, a representative of the Azerbaijan Republic Agency for Small and Medium Business Development for  Baku city Vusal Gasimov,  and Chairman and CEO of the Caspian European Club Telman Aliyev, the forum continued in the format of a dialogue with logistics companies.

 

It should be noted that the B2B forum, created by the Caspian European Club, serves as a unique platform for international business networking. Online B2B forums are held twice a week and  provide an opportunity to build new business relationships  with heads of companies from different  sectors of the economy of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, as well as other  countries of the Caspian-Black Sea and Baltic regions.
