About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

A block of postage stamps dedicated to UEFA EURO 2020 issued

A block of postage stamps dedicated to the European Football Championship EURO 2020 has been issued.

As is known, UEFA EURO 2020, which was to be held in 2020 by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The sporting event that took place in 2021 is reflected in the sketch of the postage stamp.

Note that the designer of the postage stamp is artist Vugar Eyyubov.

Additionally, 200 First Day Covers were issued.

It should be reminded that four matches of the EURO 2020 championship were held in our country.
