About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

A block of postage stamps dedicated to Summer Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 issued

A block of postage stamps dedicated to the Summer Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 have been issued.

The Summer Olympic Games 2020, which have been postponed for a year due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, will be held from July 23 to August 8 this year at 42 sports venues in Japan. Azerbaijan will be represented at the Olympic Games by 44 athletes.

The stamps featuring various summer sports are associated with the attribute of the host country of the Olympic Games.

The postage stamp, designed by Vugar Eyyubov, chief artist of Azermarka, was printed in Bobruisk Integrated Printing House in Belarus with a print run of 10,000 copies.

Additionally, 200 First Day Covers were issued.
