International Report Highlights Azerbaijan’s Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Development Policy
The International Transport Forum (ITF) has published a new report on publicly accessible electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
The report presents international best practices for developing this sector. It also examines the role of public policy, measures to encourage investment, efforts to improve access to charging infrastructure, and approaches to fostering a competitive market environment.
The report notes that well-designed public policies facilitate investment in charging infrastructure. Incentive schemes implemented in this area support the growth of the electric vehicle market and stimulate further investment.
The report highlights Azerbaijan’s fiscal incentive mechanisms as examples of international practice. It also notes that countries, including Azerbaijan, have adopted incentive mechanisms tailored to their national circumstances to support the development of electric mobility.
The inclusion of Azerbaijan’s experience in the ITF report reflects international recognition of the country’s policies to promote electric mobility and expand charging infrastructure.
