Warning: Two more security vulnerabilities found in Google Chrome
The Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies urges citizens to regularly update the software they use.
It is known that software manufacturers regularly release new versions of their products to eliminate security vulnerabilities discovered in their products. Failure to implement the provided updates may result in intrusion into the system by third parties using existing vulnerabilities, gaining access to personal or sensitive information, and carrying out other malicious acts.
As a continuation of the numerous security vulnerabilities found in Google Chrome this year, two new security vulnerabilities have been identified, which are actively used. To eliminate existing vulnerabilities, Google has released a new security update – version 94.0.4606.71 of the Google Chrome browser for Windows, Mac and Linux users.
The latest update, released by Google, has addressed 14 security vulnerabilities in Google Chrome since the beginning of this year.
Impact: It is likely to take control of target systems by using existing security vulnerabilities.
Affected systems: Google Chrome versions prior to version 94.0.4606.71
Recommendation: Users and administrators should regularly review updates provided by Google and immediately update their existing browser to Google Chrome version 94.0.4606.71 (or higher) to prevent electronic threats.
To apply the update, you need to go to the Settings section from the three dots in the upper right corner of the Google Chrome browser and sequentially select Help and About Google Chrome. You must restart your browser for the update to be active.
