The State Road Transport Service under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport will launch a regular Baku–Fuzuli–Baku intercity bus route on June 25 as part of the expansion of passenger transportation to the Karabakh region.
Routes will be arranged once a week on Saturdays. At the initial stage, passengers will be able to visit the Merdinli village mosque, the center of the city of Fuzuli and Fuzuli International Airport. At the next stage, it will also be possible to visit Iba sanctuary, Garamammadli spring, Garghabazar Caravanserai complex and Dovletyarly village (smart village). When visiting religious, cultural and historical monuments, citizens will be accompanied by guides.
It should be noted that since January 24, 2022, State Road Transport Service has operated 200 regular bus routes to the territories liberated from occupation, and 8,588 people have visited Shusha and Aghdam.
Shusha was visited by 5,955 passengers. Of these, 3,376 people traveled on the Baku–Shusha–Baku route, and 2,579 – on the Ahmadbeyli–Shusha–Ahmadbeyli route.
A total of 2,633 passengers visited Aghdam. Of these, 1,254 people traveled on the Baku– Aghdam–Baku route, and 1,379 people – on the Barda–Aghdam–Barda route.
At the same time, 130 privileged persons (heroes of Patriotic War, national heroes, family members of martyrs, invalids of the Karabakh War) visited the liberated territories free of charge.
In order to ensure the systematization of passenger transportation and the formation of a database on passenger transportation, ticket sales for the routes are carried out online via the portal www.yolumuzqarabaga.az. The online ticketing portal has been integrated into the relevant information systems to ensure security and synchronize access to the liberated territories with the ticketing process and to identify those to whom the discount will be applied.
