Smart Karabakh hackathon launched within TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan
A total of 30 teams from Azerbaijan and Turkey have qualified for the final round of competition and start to compete.
Smart Karabakh hackathon is being held as part of the TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan Aerospace and Technology Festival which will be held for the first time in Baku on 26–29 May this year, jointly organized by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey. Thirty teams from Azerbaijan and Turkey will win the right to compete in the final and offer smart solutions for the transformation of the liberated Karabakh into a normal region.
Chairman of the Board of AzInTelecom LLC Elkhan Azizov welcomed the participants and gave detailed information about the importance of the Smart Karabakh hackathon.
Elkhan Azizov noted that the main goal of this hackathon is to introduce smart city solutions in Azerbaijan’s territories liberated from occupation, to turn these territories into a comfortable, economical, environmentally friendly region, create a favorable ecosystem for residents and entrepreneurs and contribute to the creation of more efficient conditions for agriculture.
It was noted that 20 Azerbaijani and 10 Turkish teams are competing among the hackathon finalists. Each team was presented with a specification of the equipment and software available in the hackathon warehouse, and a 50-hour uninterrupted marathon was launched.
In the course of work, finalists take advantage of the Internet of Things, Application Programming Interface, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing Services, Dashboards, Machine Learning, Machine-to-Machine Communications, Mesh Networks and other technologies.
