Registration began for competition Socially Oriented Technologies within TECHNOFEST Azerbaijan
In preparation for the TECHNOFEST Azerbaijan Aerospace and Technology Festival, registration has begun for the competition Socially Oriented Technologies, which covers the categories of social innovation, GovTech, healthcare and first aid.
We would like to inform you that the TECHNOFEST Azerbaijan will be organized for the first time in Baku by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 26 –29 May this year. The main purpose of the TECHNOFEST, which has become an international brand, is to popularize the aviation, space industry, digital economy, social innovations, education and other fields among young people, promote entrepreneurship in these fields, reveal the knowledge and skills of young engineers through competitions organized as part of the festival, as well as present national technologies to the general public.
Candidates wishing to participate in the competition Socially Oriented Technologies may submit their innovative solutions in the categories of social innovation, GovTech, healthcare and first aid. The main objective of the competition is to introduce innovations and technologies in these areas using original and national resources.
The competition aims to create projects that can be useful to society by integrating technological knowledge and experience within the framework of social responsibility. Projects that are implemented through innovation and technological development in all areas are aimed at contributing to society and increasing efficiency, affecting the social life of people.
Under the terms of the competition, students studying at the higher education institutions in Azerbaijan in category B, and individual participants and their teams representing category C can participate in the competition.
The prize fund in both categories is 6,000 AZN for 1st place, 4,000 AZN – for 2nd place, 2,000 AZN – for the 3rd place.
Teams participating in the competition must involve a mentor in the development of the project. The supporting document of the person who will act as a mentor must be uploaded to the system together with the project description. The mentor must also be responsible for supporting the team until the final.
The deadline for applications is 17 February 2022.
