Next startup tour to be held in Sumgayit

Next startup tour within the project "From Idea to Business" will be held in the city of Sumgayit. The event will take place on September 21, 2018 at Heydar Aliyev Center from 08:30 to 17:00.

Participants from surrounding regions can also attend the startup tour in Sumgayit.

It is planned to conduct information sessions, interactive sections, competitions and trainings covering various topics within the startup tour.

In the first part of the event small business trainings will be organized to prepare startups for the main competition, and in the second part they will present their ideas to the jury. Then, the selected projects will compete for the first place. Following each speech, question-answer and discussion of the project will be held.

At the end of the second part, the jury will determine the winners of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in Sumgayit and the winning projects will win the right to participate in the National Final in Baku.

The tours are organized within the project "From Idea to Business" jointly with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, the Regional Development Public Union of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Azerbaijan Youth Foundation, the United Nations Development Program and Microsoft to support the expansion of startup movement and the realization of citizens’  innovative ideas.

It should be noted that winning projects within startup tours can be provided with mentoring services, attraction of investments, including opportunities for sending successful startups abroad and  participation in international events.
