Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies and Ministry of Taxes sign protocol agreements
Two protocol agreements were signed between the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Taxes within the framework of the 17th Caspian international exhibition “Transport, Transit and Logistics” and the 8th Caspian international exhibition “Road Infrastructure and Public Transport” on June 13.
The protocols, signed by Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Ramin Guluzade and Minister of Taxes Mikail Jabbarov, provides the cooperation on collection of taxes and registration of mobile devices in the field of passenger and cargo transportation, except for international haulage by road.
The main purpose of signing of the agreement on road transport is to improve the regulatory mechanisms in the field of passenger and cargo transportation by road using modern information communication technologies, to broaden cooperation between the two government agencies in forming a healthy competition environment among the carriers, as well as ensuring full and timely collection of taxes.
The other protocol determines the registration of mobile devices imported to the country by physical persons individually and without submitting a customs declaration and joint control mechanisms for this process, as well as improvement of legislation in this regard.
At the signing ceremony of the protocols, it was noted that joint cooperation will serve to increase effeciency in the mentioned areas.
