About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev met with youth in Yevlakh

As part of his regular visit in connection with the reception of citizens in the city of Yevlakh, Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev held a meeting at Heydar Aliyev Center in Yevlakh with young people who live in Yevlakh, Barda, Tartar, Goranboy regions, Mingachevir city and are interested in innovations.

The directions for the development of the ICT sector in our country were discussed at the meeting.

Rashad Nabiyev familiarized himself with the thoughts of the youth and there was an exchange of views on innovation processes.
