Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies attends annual summit on “Transport Safety and Security”

The International Transport Forum’s (ITF) Annual Summit on “Transport Safety and Security” was held in Leipzig, Germany.

 

The Summit was attended by responsible transport ministers of the ITF member countries, business representatives, heads of international organizations and leading researchers.

 

Our country at the Summit was represented by a delegation led by Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Ramin Guluzade.

 

At the event, discussions were held on transport security, organization of environmentally clean transport, transition to “smart” transport systems in cities and regions, transport and climate change, elimination of obstacles for efficient transport of goods, dependence of transport on digital equipment and other topics, and the participants of the event made speeches.

 

Ramin Guluzade delivered a speech at the ministerial meeting on elimination of obstacles in transport safety and transport of goods.

 

The Minister gave detailed information to the participants of the event on the projects implemented in the mentioned areas in our country, the work done in this direction, as well as the application of information and communication technologies and innovative systems in transport and logistics.

 

As part of the event, bilateral meetings were also held between Ramin Guluzade and heads of corresponding bodies of Latvian, Ukrainian and Moldovan republics, as well as the Secretary General of the Permanent International Secretariat of the Organization of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC PERMIS).

 

At the meetings, the sides exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation in the field of transport.
