İKT LAB provides training in use of social media for government agencies

In order to address new challenges of communication activities of government agencies in modern times and more effectively provide quality services to citizens, the Information and Communication Technologies Application and Training Center (İKT LAB) of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport has launched a training on “Organization of effective activities of government agencies in social media”.

The training of the first group of participants has finished. The training was attended by 25 people from various government agencies, who were awarded certificates of İKT LAB.

During the training, various practical presentations were made on the effective use of social media by government agencies. Participants were informed about the importance of social media for organizations, profile page design, content management, operation principles and proper use of social media algorithms, managing social media activity, communicating with citizens, combating misinformation and information security. The training included practical classes and discussions, as well as sharing of experiences and ideas among the participants.

It is expected that representatives of other government agencies will take part in the next trainings.

It should be noted that the Information and Communication Technologies Application and Training Center was established under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport in 2015 by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers with a view to improving the digital skills and IT knowledge of employees of public and private institutions, as well as the population.
