The Technest educational programme, which provides scholarships for young people seeking to get professional training in ICT, has trained its first graduates in electronics, cloud engineering, Java programming and cybersecurity. On this occasion, graduation day was organized at the Code and More training center.
It is a reminder that Technest educational programme is implemented by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
Technest trains specialists and focuses on the labor market by providing professional and free ICT training to schoolchildren, students and graduates. The programme aims to accelerate the training of personnel to meet modern requirements in this field and to promote digital development in the country.
As a result of the Technest educational project, established in the framework of a public-private partnership with Code and More and in cooperation with the Ministry’s ICT Applying & Training Center (ICT LAB), 53 schoolchildren and 87 students have successfully completed the training programme in electronics in cloud engineering, Java programming and cybersecurity. In addition to trainings, the programme participants were involved in real work process in the Azerbaijani Space Agency – Azercosmos, AzInTeleCom LLC and Baku Telephone Communications LLC, and took part directly in the development and implementation of various projects.
At the event, Technest graduates were awarded certificates, as well as souvenirs from various organizations.
Project Manager of the Technest educational programme Elnara Alizade noted that although Technest has only been in existence for a year, it is already recognized as a mark of quality: “Today we say goodbye to our first graduates. Employers in the labor market show great interest and trust in our students and graduates. Today, we also announced the establishment of the Technest Club, based on building national ICT human resources. Students of the club are involved in socialization, sharing experiences and knowledge, aiming to bring together different fields and work with them continuously. With this step, we have taken into account the effective organization of leisure activities for young people”.
It should be noted that by the end of this year, it is planned to train 120 schoolchildren, 618 university students and graduates of the Technest education programme in areas such as cloud solutions, cloud administration, big databases, cybersecurity, automation, electronics, various programming languages and UX/UI design.
The Innovation and Digital Development Agency is also working closely with Code Academy, Israel-Azerbaijan Training Center, Tech Academy, IBA Tech Academy and Innovation Center through a public-private partnership in order to train and employ Technest scholarship holders as leading specialists.
