ESS holds webinar for secondary school teachers on occasion of beginning of new school year

On the occasion of the beginning of the new school year in our country, the Electronic Security Service (ESS) under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies has held a webinar for teachers of several secondary schools in Baku on the topic “Child Safety on the Internet”.

At the webinar, which was attended by some 20 teachers, Head of International Cooperation and Coordination Sector of the Electronic Security Service Ellada Mustafayeva made a special presentation. The webinar was dedicated to topics such as safe use of the Internet and social networks, cyber threats faced by children and teenagers, and ways of protecting against them. Answers were also given to questions from teachers on the relevant topic.

It was noted that given the limitations caused by the pandemic, ESS will continue to hold a series of awareness-raising webinars for parents and secondary school teachers to ensure the cyber security of students on the Internet.

Note that the issue of children’s safety on the Internet is one of the areas of activity to which the Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies pays a particular attention and deals with great sensitivity. Thus, since 2013, ESS has been regularly conducting educational activities in the field of ensuring the safety of children on the Internet. ESS also establishes contacts and maintains cooperation with local and international institutions and organizations operating in this field.

It is for this reason that during the current global pandemic, appeals on this topic are constantly in the spotlight, and citizens are provided with technical and methodological support on relevant topics. Citizens’ appeals are accepted promptly through cert.az website, hotline 1654 and accounts on social networks.
