E-Security Service urges citizens to be vigilant about current cyber attacks
The Electronic Security Service (ESS) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport urges citizens to be vigilant about messages and emails sent by unidentified individuals due to the recent increase in phishing attacks.
We call on citizens not to click on suspicious links sent to them, not to download files sent with messages and letters from unknown persons, not to forward messages that they are unsure of their authenticity to other persons, not to trust such messages and verify the authenticity of information from official sources.
In addition, citizens are advised to be alert to calls from unknown numbers and not to provide personal data over the phone or by email to unknown persons.
It should be noted that the E-Security Service regularly analyses the overall cyber security situation in the country, monitors internet information resources and organizes prompt reception of information on cyber attacks that have occurred. The ESS takes appropriate measures and provides information about existing and potential cyber threats at the national level.
We ask citizens if you encounter such situations, please report them to the Electronic Security Service via www.cert.az and by emailing report@cert.az.
