Children's Festival took place in Heydar Aliyev Center's Park
The Children’s Festival took place in the Park of Heydar Aliyev Center on June 1.
The event, initiated by Heydar Aliyev Foundation and supported by the Ministry of Education, Heydar Aliyev Center and the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, was attended by hundreds of children, including residents of orphanages and pupils of boarding schools operating in Baku and regions.
The presence of Vice President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva at the festival has doubled the festive mood of the children. Leyla Aliyeva had a conversation with the children and posed for photo with them.
At the festival, everyone - small artists, dancers, sportsmen, musicians demonstrated their abilities.
It should be noted that during the festival, held on the occasion of the International Day for Protection of Children, variety entertainment programmes were presented for the kids.
The territory of the park was divided by various topics and types of entertainment. There were ice-field, dance floor, sports ground and playgrounds. Children painted different pictures on asphalt in the territory for street art “Street art” and on easels in the playground “Art”. Boat races were held in the lake in the Center’s Park for the first time. Rally on small cars was also organized, and a rollerdrome was created.
Interactive games and entertainment competitions were organized in the corner of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies. The winners and participants were awarded various gifts at the contests that aroused great interest among children.
The children conducted a conditional search on the archaeological site and found mock-ups of various archaeological finds under the sand and traveled to the wild world in the zones “Safari Tour” and “Mini-Farm”. In addition to familiarizing with the mock-ups of wild animals, the kids communicated with some animals on the “Mini-farm”.
Talented children studying at the Republican Development Center for Children and Youth presented in the zone “Art-defile” their samples of clothing they had made.
The children were engaged in orienteering in the labyrinth zone, spent their time with joy and fun. They also played chess, participated in master classes in various kinds of sports - football, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, taekwondo, judo, track and field athletics and fencing, demonstrated their skills and abilities. And in the field for the relay, they were engaged in mini-golf and archery. They also proved themselves in intellectual competitions.
As part of the festival, the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation organized training session for children on road traffic rules.
Furthermore, variety attractions - trampolines, slides, merry-go-rounds, swings were also installed in the park.
The greatest delight in children was caused by the Disney Parade with the participation of heroes of animated films.
A concert program was also organized for the kids, during which groups of children’s creative activity centers and studios performed various songs, dances, and sketches.
Besides that, pupils of orphanages and boarding schools in Baku and regions, performed dances, demonstrated their crafts.
The children not only had fun, but also demonstrated their talents and skills, and also made new friends within three hours.
On June 2, the festival in the park of Heydar Aliyev Center will last from 16.00 to 19.00. Entrance to the territory and use of entertainment facilities are free.
It should be noted that protection of children’s rights is one of the priority directions of state policy in our country. First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva renders comprehensive support to the successful implementation of this policy.
