Broadband services launched in Zira settlement as part of “Online Azerbaijan” project

Baku Telephone Communications LLC continues to upgrade the telecommunications infrastructure and bring it in line with modern international standards within the framework of the “Online Azerbaijan” project. At the next stage, the necessary equipment for the construction of a GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Networks) fiber optic network, providing fast and uninterrupted internet access, was installed and put into service in the settlement of Zira in Khazar district.

 

About 6,000 households in the settlement of Zira have been provided with high-speed internet. There are currently 2,574 subscribers using internet services, and the connection of new subscribers continues.

 

With the introduction of new GPON technology the subscribers are offered higher speed internet packages (from 30 Mbit/s to 100 Mbit/s) and other services. The packages are as follows: 

 

–internet

–internet+telephony

–internet+television

– Internet+telephony+television package (3 in one)

 

Charges for services range from 18 to 56 AZN, depending on the tariff chosen and user requirements.

It should be noted that relevant work to provide high-speed internet in other regions of the country is also going on as planned within the framework of the “Online Azerbaijan” project, implemented by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
