Azercosmos, Voyager Space sign MoU on space initiatives
Azercosmos under the Ministry of Digital Development & Transport, and Voyager Space have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on space initiatives. The signing ceremony took place in Paris during the week of the 73rd International Astronautical Congress.
The document will pave the way for the expanding opportunities for cooperation between Azercosmos and Voyager Space in the direction of space infrastructure, the establishment of scientific centers, research programs, the development of technologies and innovations.
According to the memorandum, there will be an exchange of experience and knowledge in order to develop the local space ecosystem, as well as attention will be focused on the commercial and educational opportunities of the space industry in the country.
“We will work with our partners at Voyager Space to expand the opportunities that space programs and technologies can bring to our country. Strengthening the local space ecosystem with global partners such as Voyager Space is one of our main goals,” said Sameddin Asadov, Chairman of the Board of Azercosmos.
Clay Mowry, Chief Revenue Officer at Voyager Space, said the company is opening doors for emerging space nations to engage in research and science: “Space technology and science have the power to change societies. We look forward to building a sustainable space ecosystem in the region through Azerbaijan.”
