Azerbaijan-Belarus Joint Commission holds regular meeting in Baku

The regular meeting of the Azerbaijan-Belarus Joint Commission on International Road Transport was held in Baku.

 

From the Azerbaijani side, the meeting was chaired by chief of State Road Transport Service of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Habib Hasanov and from the Belarusian side - Deputy Head of the Road Transport Department of the Ministry of Transport and Communications Gennady Aleksian.

 

The meeting discussed the current state in the field of international road transport, the exchange of statistical data, the problems faced by transportation organizations in the transport of goods, ways of their solution, prospects for the development of transport and other topical issues.

 

During the discussions, relevant agreements were reached in order to develop international road transport between Azerbaijan and Belarus, simplify border-crossing procedures, reduce waiting time, observe the work and rest regime of vehicle crews, as well as improve and continue measures to increase the share of transportation organizations of the two countries in international transport corridors North-South and West-East.

 

In conclusion, the quota of permissive forms used for international transportation between countries for 2019-2020 was determined and a protocol was signed.
