Anniversary postage stamps on “Kars Treaty – 100 years” issued
Azerpost LLC under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies has issued anniversary postage stamps dedicated to the theme “Kars Treaty – 100 years”.
The issue has been prepared in the form of a sheet of eight postage stamps. The postage stamp was printed in Bobruisk Integrated Printing House in Belarus with a print run of 103,000 copies.
The author of the postage stamp is artist Vugar Eyyubov.
Along with the postage stamp, 200 First Day Covers were also issued.
It should be noted that October 13 marks the 100th anniversary of the signing of Kars Treaty. The Kars Treaty is of great historical significance. The Treaty established the status of Nakhchivan and the parties agreed on the issue of its remaining within Azerbaijan as an autonomous republic.
